Woodland Cottage Guest House - Experience peace and tranquility
The Four Seasons
Come and experience the ever changing scenery surrounding Woodland Cottage.  Whether you come and stay during winter, spring, summer or fall the views are always breathtaking and you will be captivated.

Winter
Celebrate christmas at Woodland Cottage.  Relax in our indoor, outdoor glass room with a delicious cup of hot chocolate and watch the snow fall all around you.  In the evenings you can be cosy sitting in front of the wood burning fire with a glass of warm glögg (mulled wine).  On christmas eve light the candles on our grand christmas tree and if you wish sing some carols.  In the local town is an open air ice skating rink.

Spring
Watch everything come to life during this wonderful time of year.  Listen to the birds sing their chorus and watch the woodland change into the most vibrant light green colour.  This
is a very busy time of year for the local farmers as they plant there crops.  The surrounding fields seem to change colour overnight and you never know what colour the field will be until
it starts to grow.  Each year is different.

Summer
Go for long walks or bike rides and watch the farmers harvest their crops.  Pick blackberries down the lane and apples from our garden and bake yourself a pie.  Relax in our manicured private garden and enjoy the local vintage aeroplanes practising their aerobatics directly over the woodland.  Visit Horby towns brand new sports center with an open air swimming pool open July-September.   In the evening enjoy a glass of wine in the glass room and watch the sun set behind the woods.  Magnificent!!!

Autumn
This is truly the most magical time of year.  So many different shades of reds and golds and browns.  You can almost feel an air of excitement knowing that christmas is just around the corner.  This is my favourite time of the year.

When the trees their summer splendor
Change to raiment red and gold,
When the summer moon turns mellow,
And the nights are getting cold;
When the squirrels hide their acorns,
And the woodchucks disappear;
Then we know that it is autumn,
Loveliest season of the year.
